I am writing this the day after staying at the Airport View Apartment Belgrade, so everything is nice and fresh in the memory. I’ve noticed recently after years of working in social media that my short-term memory isn’t what it used to be, so the plan is to start writing blog posts as soon as I can after the event.

Anyway, if you’re thinking of booking this apartment, my advice would be, go for it! Aleksander from Airport View Apartments is genuinely one of the best hosts I’ve had in all my years of travelling, nothing was too much trouble for him. Let’s get into the specifics.

Hey Anxious Travel Guy, why were you in Belgrade?

Valid question. I flew from Barcelona to Belgrade, and following that, I am getting a coach to Mostar in Bosnia where I will be based for a little while.

I just had one day in Belgrade, so I needed a place to sleep as I was landing late, so step up Airport View.

What’s the location like?

It’s a little bit isolated, but super quiet, meaning you should get a really good night’s sleep. There were bus stops maybe a ten minute walk away, which I will cover in more detail a little bit later on.

What time did you check in?

LATE. My flight was due to arrive at 00:55am, which was already late enough, but things were delayed by an hour or so, meaning I got to Belgrade closer to 2am.

Does the Airport View Apartments Belgrade offer an airport shuttle service?

Yes! The main man Aleksander was there to greet me at the airport, which at 2am, was very welcome. He runs a service where he’ll pick you up directly at the airport, and it only costs €9. I would have used this service regardless I think, but yeah, at that time of the night I was just ready for bed, so I was super thankful Aleksander was so accommodating.

You won’t miss him. He has one of those signs with your name on like you see in the movies, and he rang me as well to make sure he didn’t miss me.

Sidenote, if you’re looking for an eSIM for Serbia to make sure you have data, can contact your hosts etc, read this blog post here for my choice on the best eSIM for Serbia. It was beyond helpful for me in this situation.

What were the apartments like?

Nice! The apartments have brilliant reviews on Booking, and this was a big reason why I booked to begin with. The reviews felt very accurate, as did the photos on the listing, and I will also include some photos I took of the apartment. These were taken in August 2025, so they’re a very up-to-date representation of what the place looks like:

I booked a Superior King Room, and there was an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, sofa, TV, fridge, separate WiFi, kettle, cups and glasses, and a double bed. There was also shower gel in the bathroom and soap. So basically, everything you’d need for a one or two night stay.

The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. As mentioned at the top, I was in Spain just before this which was next level heat, so it was nice to sleep in slightly more bearable conditions. The air-conditioning was very strong, and I gave it a blast before falling asleep to cool the room down a bit.

Bathroom's are important, how was that?

Shower was good, with strong pressure and a nice temperature. The bathroom was clean, and in case you're wondering, you can drink water straight from the tap.

What time do you need to check out?

So officially, it’s 11am. I think my face must have expressed how tired I was the night before though, as Aleksander graciously let me check out a bit later. This was hugely appreciated, and for real, it’s these little things that stick with me as a traveller. So, thank you Aleksander!

Is there parking available?

As mentioned earlier, I took advantage of the shuttle that the Airport View Apartment Belgrade offers, but the listing on Booking states that there is free parking available, and I noticed a number of parking spots outside the building.

Are you allowed to bring pets with you?

Much like not having a car, I also didn’t bring any animals with me, but you can bring pets for 5 euros extra per night. I can imagine this would be a really good stop if you’re driving through the Balkans, so if your furry friends are making the journey with you, you’re good to stay here for the night.

Is it easy to get to and from the centre of Belgrade?

After my late checkout, I made my way into the centre of Belgrade. The apartments do offer a shuttle for 20 euros into Belgrade, or 35 for a return visit. I had a day to waste though, so I decided to take the bus into the centre, and once again my main man Aleksander came through with the details.

Here is where you need to get the bus from to go into the centre. There is a bus stop opposite which is where you’ll need to get off if taking the bus from central Belgrade.

It’s around 10 minutes walk from the apartments, maybe a bit less, and the numbers 601 and 72 will take you into the centre. Just keep an eye on maps on your phone, as they do start to head out of the centre, so make sure you get off the right stop.

Another sidenote, did you know buses and public transport are free for everyone in Belgrade? I write about that here.

How far in advance did you book?

A couple of days I think. It certainly wasn’t weeks in advance, and I was able to secure a room.

How much did you pay for your room?

I think I am at level 3 genius level on Booking (I know, check me out) as I travel so much, so I got my room for just under 31 euros, which was super reasonable.

Finally, would you recommend the Airport View Apartment Belgrade?

You probably have a good idea judging by how positive this review has been, but yes! It was comfortable, located very close to the airport, and above all, Aleksander was one of the best hosts I have dealt with in a long time. Highly recommended for your stay close to the Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport.
