Using Revolut in Mostar, Bosnia. Which banks and ATMs let you withdraw cash for free?

I paid a visit to Mostar in Bosnia in August 2025, and let me tell you, trying to find any ATM that didn’t charge you for using Revolut was a mission.
I won’t go into the pros and cons of using Revolut here. If you have a card then you probably know just how good they are when travelling abroad. I travel a lot, and Bosnia has been one of the hardest places to find an ATM that didn’t want to charge me a ridiculous amount.
I got a load of money out on my first day here, but just accepted the extra fee as I was incredibly sleep deprived (I had just been on an overnight bus), and needed the cash to pay the place where I’m staying.
When I was more settled, I set out to find an ATM, any ATM, that didn’t want to charge me, and it was a failure. Bosnia is a VERY cash heavy country. Card doesn’t appear to be the norm here, and I was heading to a football match via a pub, so knew I would need some cash for food and drinks etc.
I tried a few places with no luck, and as I was getting further away from the centre, my options were limited so I ended up withdrawing with yet another fee.
How much is the fee?
It ain’t cheap! The most I paid was 15 Bosnian marks (£6.63 / €7.67 / $8.96 - conversions correct as of August 2025), and the cheapest I saw was 10.45 BAM with Raiffeisen Bank.

If the fee is small, a couple of pounds maybe, then I don’t mind as much, but this felt too much. The second time I had to withdraw money from an ATM in Mostar, I was genuinely annoyed.
Please give us hope, is there any ATM that doesn’t charge Revolut users?
Whispering, I think I found one! I was at Mepas Mall one weekend, and noticed a row of ATM’s that I kept in my mind for trying out in the future.

I went back there one lunchtime, and things weren’t looking good. I tried every ATM (except for one as it was being worked on), and got the same message on every one, telling me I had to pay a fee.
I can’t imagine how dodgy I must have looked to the security, but needs must, and I was done with paying these high fees.
I got to the last one in the row, and noticed things were taking a bit longer after I entered my card, increasing the anticipation further. SUCCESS! My card was returned, and I was able to withdraw without paying any extra fee.
It felt like a feelgood movie. I had exhausted all options, and my very last one came through. Will I sell the movie rights? Maybe.
Okay, So Which ATMs in Mostar Don’t Charge Fees with Revolut?
Nova Banka is the ATM where I had success. It’s at the very end of the row of ATM’s in the mall, and randomly next to a Bitcoin machine which I need to check out in a bit more detail.
I withdrew 50 Bosnian Marks, as I was just running a test, and there was no fee. I was charged £22.27 by Revolut, which wasn’t too far away from the official exchange rate on the day I withdrew.
I have gone back into Revolut for the purpose of this post, and did notice I have been charged an extra £1 as a fee, although that might be because I could be over my ATM limit for the month as I had to withdraw a decent amount for my accommodation.
Still, give me a £1 fee over one which is 6x more.
Where can we find this mythical ATM?
Here’s what Mepas Mall looks like from the outside:

Walk in through the main entrance, and take the first left on the ground floor, and you’ll see the row of ATM’s.

And here is your row of ATMs, with Nova Banka the blue one right at the very end of the row.

Let me know how you get on, and if it works for you! I tried one I had seen recommended on Reddit and that didn’t work for me, so they appear to be a bit inconsistent, but this one worked for me (August 2025).
And just for clarity, my Revolut card was ordered in the UK.
Update:
I wanted to try Nova Banka again before I left Mostar, and see if it still worked with regards to not charging for using Revolut, and I am pleased to announce that it did!

This ATM was on the edge of the Old Town, maybe a five minute walk from the Old Bridge, so easy to find (just search Nova Banka ATM Mostar and you'll be fine), and I can confirm I was able to use my Revolut card without paying a fee.
If you decide to pay a visit to Kosovo while you're in the Balkans (you should by the way), then here's my post on whether you can use Revolut in the country.
